Our elementary program builds strong academic foundations in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies while fostering creativity and a love of learning. Students also enjoy Spanish, art, music, physical education, and library/technology. With individualized support from our R.I.S.E.N. Learning Resource Center and reading interventionists, every child is guided to reach his or her full potential. Rooted in faith and service, our students grow as kind, capable learners who live out the mission of Sacred Heart each day.
Religious Education
Sacred Heart School takes seriously its commitment to ensure that Jesus is the heart of everything we do. Our students are taught to recognize the spark of the divine that is present within every academic discipline – from literature to music to mathematics. Throughout the curriculum, students encounter innumerable applications of Christian faith and ethics.
Special Education
Our school is uniquely situated, with the assistance of the Groton Public School system, to make sure that students with a wide range of abilities have the opportunity to achieve their full potential. Our R.I.S.E.N. Learning Resource Center allows students who need extra academic support the opportunity to attend a Catholic school. The R.I.S.E.N. Learning Resource Center employs a part-time special education teacher. Additionally, we have a reading interventionist and a reading specialist, who work with students requiring additional assistance.
