Students applying for admission to Sacred Heart School must submit the following materials:
- An application for admission.
- A teacher recommendation form (for kindergarten or grades 1-8).
- Academic records from previous school, if applicable.

Prekindergarten Enrollment
Sacred Heart School offers an accredited prekindergarten program with certified staff. Features of the program include:
- Small class sizes.
- Full-time school nurse.
- Full-day program from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Before and after school care available.
- A welcoming, nurturing environment.
- Less expensive than daycare.
Children must be 3 years old by September 1 of that academic year to enroll in Pre-K3 and must be 4 years old by September 1 to enroll in Pre-K4.
Kindergarten Enrollment
The State of Connecticut has limited kindergarten enrollment to students who will be five years old by September 1 of that year. The state has given schools the leeway to admit students with later birthdays after a screening process. Please be aware of the updated admission process for kindergarten, which will apply to all applicants and will also serve as the screening process for students with later birthdays:
- Completion of the application for admission.
- Submission of a teacher recommendation.
- Completion of a kindergarten readiness assessment, to be scheduled upon receipt of the application for enrollment.
